I really thought that getting a new model would be an updat. However I still cannot raise handles any higher than 7 year old one. Because wheels are far apart it is difficult to manoeuvre through doors. I have to close it up which defeats object
A useful piece of kit. It is rather big for small bathrooms, as many critics suggest, but you do need an expansive surface for it to be safe. My only query is instruction to clip the units together when making stacks and I can’t find any clips. Steps are stable enough when stacked but tend to fall adrift when upending them for storage. A help for those with a high shower.
There are brakes on each handle but as soon as you stop squeezing them, no brake! So if you want to go round to the front to help the person get out, the wheelchair is unsecured and can shoot backwards. And you can’t leave it parked up on a slope without it rolling away! Such a basic omission. It makes the wheelchair unsafe.
Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. The brakes lock on by pushing the brake levers down. To release the brakes pull on them in the conventional manner.
